Paleo Rosso 2008 Le Macchiole vineyard Bolgheri region in Italy

Variety: Cabernet Franc 100%

Winespoint rating: 94/100

This wine immediately attracts you. Its dark color reminds me of some new world or Rhone wines. On the nose you face deep aromas of fruits with a unique characteristic of Italian wines like big Brunellos. Awesome feeling of after taste. It’s very smooth already, balanced and fruity. Still has some tannins thus will comfortably age for years to come. An excellent Italian wine. It’s very hard to ask for more. Tobacco, blackcurrants with blackberries, raspberries, vanilla flavor present as well. Full body. Long finish with chewy body and tasty tannins.

Paleo Rosso is a elegancecouted big Italian that brings the fruit nuggets on the table. It will take your breath away so be prepared. Excellent. For a price of EUR 50-75 it will deliver more on this budget than one might expect, indeed.

This wine requires a big decanter and over 2 hours of decanting to show its full integrated potential.
